Ode to Isabella

Well, I have to admit, I am having so much fun decorating little Isabella's room. Cole has been a real sport, bunking up with older brother James, so that we can use his room to house "All Things Pink". Thank you Cole! You are a great big brother already! (Cole has secured a bachelor pad downstairs to store his stuff and has done some pretty cool artwork there!). I am sharing some of what has been painted in her room. Getting a full shot of the whole room is difficult. We ended up with a bug theme. I don't know how, but I must say I like it! I love the onesie, it is from a lovely family at my church...thank you Addie and April!! And the poem is probably my most favorite ever... by Shel Silverstein. He is the author of "The Giving Tree", I am sure most of you have read that!

I never thought I would embrace the color pink. My closet, unfortunately, consists of about 3 colors....black, off black, and brown. It is funny because we all enjoy hanging out in Izzy's refreshing pink room! I think this little lady may come into the Duplesys house and shake things up a bit!

I Love the smell of Pigskin in the morning!

AH, Victory! Coach Jay has lead his team, the Silt Panthers, to their second win over Basalt on Sunday, September 20th. Final score 14-6. It was a beautiful day. The colors are beginning to change, and you could feel fall in the air. The sun was shining and the fans were cheering. Coach Jay's wife (as is my name from Sept to Superbowl, sometime end of October) is rewarded during football season by learning how to be patient with a head coach!! Jay is very intense, but only because he really is involved with his team of amazing 3rd and 4th graders. They are the greatest group of boys, and we parents just enjoy watching them every year! And we parents feel that they have the best coach in the world! Way to go, Coach Jay!

Almost Time!

Hello all! Around Superbowl Sunday last year we found out we were expecting our fourth child. What can we say.....an unplanned surprise! And a girl! What do we do with a girl? Our 3 sons are wondering the same thing! Well, only a few weeks and we will find out! Today, Sept 20th, marks my 37th week of pregancy. Full term, technically. But are we ready? Join with us on our new adventure! It is our goal to keep our long distance friends and family updated, thru postings and pictures, on our newest addition, as well as her Big Brothers lives and how they are incorporating Isabella Grace Duplesys into their world! Why Isabella Grace for a name? Well, Mom just loves the name!! And Isabella means "God has made a promise" and Grace, of course, means "favor." We loved the meaning of the name, and just think "Izzy" sounds real cool, too! Seems so long ago that we were in this boat, waiting anxiously to take the first glimpse of our newest child! If she is anything like her brothers, we are truly in for a treat!
