Silt Panthers

Well, our favorite football team, the Silt Panthers made it as far as the playoffs. We had hoped to go on to the Superbowl, but lost to Glenwood. It was a great year, we were 5 and 2 and had many exciting moments out on the field. The boys were a wonderful group...many friendships were made, lessons learned and memories created. I enjoy the friendships with the parents and we truly enjoy cheering on our guys! As you can see from the photos Jesse ("The Bear") is made for playing football! He is easy to spot on the field since he towers above his clasmmates. All in all it was a great season. Coach Jay (we call him "Dad") did a wonderful job as usual. The Three Rivers Youth Football program really teaches these young men the sport of football. Many a powerful high school player has come up through this program. James and Cole also played on the TRY team, and although they do not play now that they are older (they focus on their music), they did learn so much and had alot of fun. Maybe "The Bear" will be gracing our TV screen someday in the future as we watch the real Superbowl!

Fall Fishing

What a gorgeous Friday! The boys were off school for an inservice day. We took advantage of the day off and beautiful sunshine by going to one of our favorite spots...Harvey Gap Resevoir. The sky was blue and the sun was shining. The wind was refreshing as we enjoyed the last days before the snow falls. It was strange to see the park so empty. During the summer months we enjoy hanging out, having great food and cocktails with friends and family. It is usually full of families making wonderful meals and kids running around everywhere. To enjoy it today was a treat...it was so quiet and still... a great day to meditate on all that is good in the world (when the newspapers may tell otherwise) Having a child does that...it slows you down to stop and appreciate what is real...what is important. On a day like today one deep breath of fresh air reminds one that in the real scheme of things, the only things that are important don't come via the stock market or our checkbooks, but in the sacred, wonderful moments of life that one can only enjoy when they stop and just appreciate the beauty the surrounds us everywhere.

Isabella is definitely an outdoors girl! She absolutely loved strolling in her Snugli, with the wind whipping through her 1/8 of an inch hair (:-).... It was great showing her the beauty of Colorado. Jay and I and the boys love living here soooooo very much! I think Colorado will always be our home... We love to ski and love the people. The weather is wonderful and it is always beautiful. As you can see, Isabella likes basking in the Colorado sunshine!

And like any great day out and about enjoying the beauty that God has surrounded us with... the next best thing to do is take a nap! Isabella came home, had a snack, and settled in for a snooze. Ahhhhh..... No Worries, Be Happy! Life is too short to stress. Life, when we really look at it.... IS GOOD!! ZZZZZZZZZZZ!!

Time flies!

Wow! Time sure flies! Isabella is 18 days old! I can't believe it! She is growing so quickly! Her cheeks are really filling out! She is spending much more time awake now during the day and thankfully is doing very well at night. She has the most beautiful eyes and is just a treat!

The boys are doing so well with her! And she is just loves her big brothers so much! The boys are busy doing very well in school... Jesse is working hard at football as we prepare for our last game before the superbowl! James is in school band and Cole is preparing to enter the Veterans Day music competition (with big brother James) at school.

We are all enjoying the last days before winter! It has been a wonderful fall.. lots of sunshine and warm weather! James and I enjoyed some "Sunshine on our Shoulders" this afternoon. It is amazing, inside the house and outside, I am surrounded by Sunshine!! Life is Good!

Welcome, Isabella!!

3:43 AM September 29, 2008....6 lbs. 5 oz. 19 inches.... and as sweet as can be!!.Isabella arrived quickly..about 2 hours after we arrived at the hospital! She is loved by her brothers who took to her right away! The house is adjusting to having a new little one...she is very mellow, crying only when hungry. Our first nite at home was last night and we fared well...all of us got a decent nights sleep. We are enjoying the company of Grandma Mena, and the help of Nana and Papa. All in all we are transitioning well and enjoying each second with her. She truly is a blessing. Enjoy the photos...and we will keep them coming. But now we rest...
